EMPLOYEE HEALTH OPTIMIZATION (EmHO)

EmHO is a comprehensive coaching program for employees, which teaches healthy lifestyle
habits, focusing on scientifically sound and medically safe physical activity, evidence-based principles of nutrition, and credible stress and time management skills. We recommend that employers offer incentives to employees such as periodic cash rewards. We require that every employee enrolled in this program completes an online coaching contract, waiver of liability, screening survey, and periodic data collection surveys. Employees with a problematic health history need their doctor’s medical clearance before participating. Click here to read more.

EXECUTIVE HEALTH OPTIMIZATION (ExHO)

ExHO is a year-long, intensive coaching program for senior executives (VP and above), aimed at identifying specific risk factors for chronic disease and developing physical activity strategies to either reduce risk or mitigate the impact of extant disease. ExHO begins with an intensive, interactive meeting with a Galileo coach, a personalized review of health history, risk factors, exercise and nutrition habits, and aerobic and muscular physical capacity testing. Following this session, the executive will communicate regularly with his or her Galileo coach throughout the year, meet face-to-face quarterly, and enter data at the Galileo website to track and assess progress. Physical capacity testing will be repeated at the end of the year to validate results. If the executive’s participation has been funded by his or her employer, Galileo will prepare a report to senior management, the HR team, or the Board, if requested to do so.

WORKSITE HEALTH OPTIMIZATION (WHO)

baltimore, Executive Health Optimization ExHo city, county, mdWHO is a day-long site visit by a Galileo coach to collaborate with human resources staff and complete a multi-faceted assessment of both the physical workplace and the health claims environment. The Galileo coach will complete a detailed workplace survey, which includes assessing the kinds of foods served or sold on premises (as well as pricing strategies to influence consumption habits), employee scheduling strategies, opportunities for physical activity in and around the workplace, management attitudes towards personal fitness management, and an analysis of claims paid over the past one to three years in specific diagnostic categories. The client business’s human resources team will receive a template before the visit with guidance on the kinds of data to request from either the health plan or third party administrator that adjudicates and processes claims for self-insured employers.

WHO is a compelling tool for helping employers understand how they can optimize their health care spending, challenge their health plan pricing policies, and identify areas in which the wellness program
can encourage employees to do better.
